Wine Library
Welcome to the Patti’s Place Wine Library, where every bottle’s diary is wide open. This isn’t just a tasting note; it’s the full story—a backstage pass to the vineyard, with all the professional gossip on what’s really in your glass. We’re here for the ‘why’ behind the ‘what.’
Our goal with the Wine Library is to make wine (at every price point) more accessible to everyone; pick from the collection and take a seat inside or out and enjoy it with freshly prepared cafe style food.
We nerd out on the details: precise varietal percentages, the vintage scoop (were the grapes sunbathing in a warm year or shivering through a cool one?), and the unique terroir of its AVA. We spotlight the producer’s philosophy, especially their farming practices—whether sustainable, organic, or full-on biodynamic (yes, they probably talk to their soil). We’ll also spill the tea on the winemaker’s secret moves, from specific oak aging to their fermentation tricks.
Get rich sensory descriptors from aroma to palate, because “delicious” just doesn’t cut it. We always call out the specific body and sweetness level, so no surprises. To make you the dinner hero, we provide 2-3 specific, food pairing suggestions with why they work (beyond just ‘tastes good’). We’ll even summarize scores from the big-shot critics, if available. This isn’t just a list; it’s a deep dive. Search by wine name, vintage, or farming, like “2022 Pinot Noir,” “biodynamic,” or “pairs with grilled ribeye.” And if you don’t see a favorite brand you think would be a good fit, let us know at pattis@laurelgrovewinefarm.com.
All jokes aside, intertwined in all of these wines you will find a common thread that embodies the spirit, vision and pursuit of excellence at Laurel Grove Wine Farm.
